Q
How did you come to live in this place?
A
I was born and raised here by my parents who were also born here.
Q
What’s your favorite food?
A
I will eat anything but I mostly eat salad, vegetables, brown rice and fish. I put coconut oil on everything - rice, coffee - it helps prevent Alzheimer’s.
Q
What’s one thing you would like the world to know about you?
A
I’ve been overseas many times and have seen how karate connects people of all different ethnicities, races and religions; that makes me feel happy. I would like for people to please come visit the sanctuary of karate, and to learn about the traditional kata which took 1,000 years to create and cannot be changed.
Q
What’s something you do every week that makes you happy?
A
Practicing and teaching karate to others - especially teaching the people who think they can’t succeed when I can see that they can.
Q
Where is someplace we should visit while we’re here?
