In a country scarred by decades of war, one man tries to capture an image of hope. National Geographic photographer Reza returns to Afghanistan to look for an image that will capture this moment in history. His journey unfolds against a backdrop of photographs he has taken over the past thirty years there, in particular, of assassinated resistance leader, Ahmed Shah Massoud. He finds uncertainty, cautious hope, and signs of danger.
